On the morning of July 29, 2025, the 2025 Fusion Facility Remote Handling Industry Development Conference was grandly held at the CRAFT campus. The conference was chaired by Liu Zhihong, Secretary-General of the Anhui Fusion Industry Association. Focusing on the R&D breakthroughs and industrial transformation of fusion facility remote handling technology, the event was hosted by the Anhui Fusion Industry Association and co-organized by the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP); Fusion Energy Tech; Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center; and the Anhui Fusion Energy Industry Innovation Research Institute. It attracted over 160 experts, scholars, engineers, technicians, and managers from research institutes, universities, and enterprises.

In the first segment, Hu Youmin from the HUST-Wuxi Research Institute delivered a presentation titled "Development Progress of the CRAFT Heavy-Duty Manipulator CMOR". The multifunctional heavy-duty manipulator CMOR serves as core foundational equipment for remote handling, and its breakthrough progress will provide essential support for the safe operation of fusion reactors. Hu De'an from the Zoomlion-Hunan University Consortium delivered a presentation titled "Low-Field Side Blanket Lifting and Transfer Platform Project", which enables precise execution of tasks including grasping, vertical lifting, and positioning installation of the low-field side blanket. Pan Zibing from Nanjing Aerosun-Tola Exoansion Joint Co., Ltd. delivered a presentation titled "Development of a Dual-Seal Door and Window Plug Functional Test Platform". The project has validated innovative solutions for dual-seal doors and window plug prototypes, providing strong support for the safety and reliability of fusion facility operation and maintenance. These three presentations collectively showcased landmark achievements in the development of key equipment for remote handling of fusion facilities. The second segment focused on the urgent needs and procurement planning for remote handling and hot cell maintenance of fusion facilities. Cheng Yong from ASIPP, delivered a presentation titled "Overall Strategy, Progress, and Planning for Remote Handling and Hot Cell Maintenance Technology", offering a general overview of the technological development blueprint and near-term priorities. Subsequently, multiple experts from ASIPP released detailed requirements for core equipment.

The conference also featured specially invited presentaions to share mature experience and technical expertise from enterprises in related fields. Su Xinjian from Sichuan Senyun Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. delivered a presentation titled "Robotics and Intelligent Equipment Solutions for the Nuclear Industry", demonstrating the company's mature technologies and product systems in specialized robotics, providing valuable insights and support for fusion applications. Zhang Pengfei from Baoji Oilfield Machinery Co., Ltd. (BOMCO) delivered a presentation titled "Introduction to BOMCO's R&D Capabilities in Heavy-Duty Manipulators", highlighting the company's extensive experience and engineering capabilities in the development, manufacturing, and control systems of heavy equipment.
