On the morning of April 18, 2025, the 2025 Fusion Reactor Vacuum Equipment and Components Industry Development Conference was successfully held in Hefei, Anhui Province. The event was attended by Zhang Jie, Vice Chairman of the Hefei Development and Reform Commission; Hu Yue, Level-1 Principal Staff Member of the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission; and Wu Liang, Level-1 Principal Staff Member of the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province. Also present were Yan Jianwen, Chairman of Fusion Energy Tech and Chairman of the Anhui Fusion Industry Association; Hu Haomin, Executive Vice President of the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center; and Hu Jiansheng, Deputy Director of the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP).

Yan Jianwen delivered the opening speech, expressing gratitude to the participants for their active involvement. He emphasized the critical role of vacuum technology in the field of fusion and called for increased focus on technological innovation and industrial collaboration in the development of fusion reactor vacuum equipment and key components. Subsequently, Zhang Jie pointed out that the fusion industry serves as an exemplary model of industrial innovation, capable of maintaining the advancement and integrity of the industrial chain. He urged the Association to continue building bridges between upstream and downstream sectors and to enhance industrial services.

The first segment focused on the vacuum technology research and development system. Zuo Guizhong, a research fellow at ASIPP, delivered a presentation on key technology breakthroughs, phase-wise summaries, and next-step plans. Following this, in the presence of provincial and municipal functional department leaders, the unveiling ceremony of the "Joint Laboratory for the Development of Tritium-Compatible High-Speed Molecular Pumps" was held. The laboratory will prioritize overcoming a series of core technical challenges, including tritium-compatible materials. Subsequent presentations precisely focused on cutting-edge trends in the fusion reactor vacuum industry, covering topics such as the development of DN400 all-metal valves and large-diameter tritium-compatible cryopumps, providing essential technical support for future industrial upgrades.

The conference was hosted by Fusion Energy Tech, and co-organized by the ASIPP; the Anhui Fusion Energy Industry Innovation Research Institute; the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center; the Anhui Fusion Industry Association; the Anhui Vacuum Society; and the Grand Union of Innovation Service Platform (Anhui Province) Co., Ltd. The event brought together over 200 participants from more than 70 institutions across the country.
