More Than 40 Investors Paid a Field Visit to Fusion Energy Tech

On March 26, 2025, Fusion Energy Tech, in collaboration with the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, hosted over 40 investors including CITIC and E-Funds for a specialized field visit at the CRAFT campus. Yan Jianwen, Chairman of Fusion Energy Tech and Executive President of the Institute of Energy, received the delegation. Representatives from the R&D Management Office of the Institute of Energy and the Industrial Development Department of Fusion Energy Tech were also present.

The field visit focused on the progress of domestic fusion research and technological breakthroughs in CRAFT. Director Kong Defeng addressed questions regarding the technical roadmap of fusion research and demonstrated the project's profound research background and strong scientific capabilities at the manufacturing site.

In the subsequent exchange session, Yan Jianwen engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives from the participating institutions on the current research landscape and development prospects of the fusion industry. Yan pointed out, China has already achieved parallel progress and even taken the lead in several core areas, such as superconducting magnets and divertor materials. The construction of BEST is currently underway, and we are confident in realizing the transition from experimental reactors to engineering applications and eventually commercialization.
