The Fusion Supply Chain Development Planning Seminar & The Second General Assembly of the Fusion Industry Alliance Successfully Convened

On the afternoon of January 28, the Fusion Supply Chain Development Planning Seminar & the Second General Assembly of the Fusion Industry Alliance was held in Hefei. Attendees included Zhu Shengli, Member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Anhui Provincial State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission; Li Guoyang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director General of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology; as well as other relevant provincial and municipal department leaders. Academicians Wan Yuanxi, Li Jiangang, and Wan Baonian; Director Song Yuntao; Party Committee Secretary Wu Xinchao from the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; as well as over 200 representatives from research institutes, universities, and enterprises nationwide were also present. Academician Li Jiangang delivered the opening address, Vice Chairman Zhu Shengli gave the concluding remarks, and Director Song Yuntao presided over the meeting.
Focusing on the theme "Gathering Momentum for a Green Future", leaders, academicians, experts, and entrepreneurs present addressed the development needs of the emerging strategic fusion industry, and discussed how to plan the future development of the fusion industry. Participants noted the work progress reported by the Fusion Industry Alliance and corporate representatives. Additionally, certificates were presented to new council members, the establishment of working groups was announced, and a centralized signing ceremony for previously agreed contracts was held.
With the rapid development of fusion energy technology, the supply chain has become a critical factor in its development and application. The Fusion Industry Alliance will fully leverage its market "magnetic effect", deepen industry-academia-research collaboration, foster the transformation and application of fusion-related technologies, and establish an efficient, agile, and sustainable fusion industry supply chain. Simultaneously, it will create a "new engine" for the fusion industry, foster technological innovation, overcome key core technical challenges, accelerate the cultivation of emerging industries, and boost the high-quality, efficient, and green development of the fusion economy.
